about how to make the most money.
If you make these mistakes, you’ll fail. Here’s why:
MLM success depends on your relationships with your MLM prospects. Hence, it’s not based on selling people over and over. We hear it all the time in network marketing that ‘we share, we do not sell.’
We do need to sell product, but network marketing is all about sharing stories that inspire people to join our company. It’s not just about retailing a product to your MLM prospects.
2.Make Friends
If you focus on forging friendships and listening to your MLM prospects and their issues, it’ll be easy to tell them about your company and tell your story. But if you form good relationships with your MLM prospects, MLM success will also come to you as a byproduct.
If you go after MLM prospects with only money in mind, you’ll fail – no MLM success for you. The reason is simple: we all hate to be sold, but all of us love to buy.
This is why, to me, MLM training is often lacking – it doesn’t teach you how to get MLM success by having fun while talking to your MLM prospects. One of my network marketing tips is not to focus solely on money, and try to enjoy the process of talking to MLM prospects as well.
4. Be Interested In People
We discussed this earlier, but MLM success comes from talking to MLM prospects about our products and services so they purchase them. To do this consistently, we have to talk to cold-market people, because our warm market is going to run out.
In order to do this, we have to step out of our comfort zone and talk to strangers.
This will attract them to you; they’ll most likely want to join your team and you’ll get the MLM success you want.
Why Most MLM Training Misses the Boat
Most MLM training fails at a certain point – because it’s too focused on scripts, information and doing everything in a certain way. It does not even considering fun as a part of MLM success.
In fact, most MLM training usually focuses on hammering it into your head that no matter what you do, you have to do it in a particular order. The problem with that is that network marketing is a volunteer sport, and if we’re not having fun, we’ll withdraw from this whole industry.

The next two LinkedIn Advanced Search parameters are pretty neat.
Location: You can select a location to find network marketing leads based on whether they’re local, if it’s an area you’re looking to expand into, or even expanding to another country.
Connections: This is really important when focusing on how to use LinkedIn Advanced Search because First Connections are already connected to you. Second Connections are those that you can connect to.

Network marketing veterans talk about getting twenty no’s a day and how many people you can reach or pitch to join your MLM organization. Just this week, two gentlemen I was talking to had decided that building relationships in MLM recruiting was too slow.
In contrast, I think building relationships is a huge factor in how to succeed at network marketing.
The issue is, 99 out of a hundred people probably won’t join your MLM organization from the first conversation. Hence, for network marketing success, you need to talk to tons of people.
But if you discover the key to effective follow up in network marketing, like this blog post will teach you along with how to succeed at network marketing, your enrollments will eventually go up 3-5%.
I find that the biggest mistake people make in MLM recruiting is that they try to go too fast. They think quantity is how to succeed at network marketing – but quality is above all the deciding factor.

This is a crucial part of how to succeed at network marketing: You need to follow-up properly with people who are interested and have gained information on the product.
The next question is: what does ‘follow-up properly’ mean? It means:
Do not badger or beg people to join your MLM organization.
Avoid pressuring them while MLM recruiting.
Create credibility by putting your prospect in touch with people on your team who can tell them their story. This is not to get them to join your MLM organization, but to build a relationship. This will make them realize your company is a good fit for them.
Once your prospect is convinced, you have to know how to close a deal in network marketing. Ask a closing question like, “Are you ready to get started?” But your network marketing success depends on creating credibility, not on trying to force them and making them lose interest in your MLM organization.
Continue Growing Your MLM Organization
Knowing how to succeed at network marketing requires a lot of know-how. Proper MLM recruiting is necessary for network marketing success. If you come on too strong when getting people to join, they’ll have a guilty conscience.
They’ll leave your MLM organization soon. You need to say the right things to get them onboard before you wonder about how to close a deal in network marketing.
If you use an MLM recruiting process that’s flashy and just focuses on making money, your new team member will probably leave when they don’t make money immediately. Residual income is out of the question at that point.
Instead, your network marketing success lies on focusing on the product. After all, distributing MLM products is what we get paid for.
Instead, grow your MLM organization by building on what you spent the last few months creating. If team members are leaving faster than you can find new ones while MLM recruiting, your business will suffer.
Focusing on the Product
Focus on the results the products deliver and people won’t leave your MLM organization. Those of you in Ariix and my team members know that we sell seven different brands.
You need to have your new customer get results on one of the seven products, then you can introduce more products to them gradually. This ensures that they don’t leave your MLM organization and is a big part of how to succeed at network marketing.
Retaining team members is essential to network marketing success.
If someone comes into your MLM business focusing on the product, they’ll keep ordering the product even if they don’t make money. They’ll do it because it saves them money or helps them, depending on what your company does.
If they come in expecting big money and buying their dream stuff, they’ll drop out of your MLM organization when they don’t make money – because most of them will not. Which leads me to…
Stay Out of the NFL Club
NFL here stands for the ‘no friends left’ club. This is for those people who try MLM recruiting their friends and badger them to the point that they don’t have friends anymore.
This is because of desperation for network marketing success, but hounding is not how to succeed at network marketing. Their friends avoid them because they think they only want to get them to join their MLM organization.
Do NOT hound people, even friends you’ve talked to before. Instead, let them lead the interaction.
Ask if they’re open to it, then introduce them to one of your team members. If they want to try it out, great. Don’t pester them if they don’t.
Focus instead on building up relationships with your friends. Stay interested in them whether or not they join up.
This will keep you out of the NFL club and help you achieve network marketing success as well.
My Tracking System To Follow Up
Appropriately
While reading this blog post on how to succeed at network marketing, you’re probably wondering, “How can I track my prospects, to ensure effective follow up in network marketing? How can I avoid the mistakes others make?”
Therefore, to help you in your network marketing success endeavors, I’m going to tell you how I do it.
You see, I’m a pretty simple guy. This is how I do it:
I talk to an MLM prospect, tell them my story, and get them interested in joining my MLM organization.
Then I book an appointment with them and mark it on Google Calendar with their phone number and details in the description box.
When I talk to them, I move them up to the next date if I mean to follow-up – a week, two weeks, a month, a year – until I want to follow-up.
If I don’t want to follow-up because they’re not a quality prospect, I simply delete them.
Since Google Calendar is on my phone and keeps me aware, I never lose track of prospects while MLM recruiting.
If you want to achieve network marketing success and grow your MLM organization, just use the follow-up system I recommend. There are lots of paid CRMs online, but they’re tedious and superfluous.
You can try them, but in the end Google Calendar works just fine for me. Getting the fanciest CRM doesn’t teach you how to succeed at network marketing.
MLM Closing for My Ariix Reps
This section teaches you how to close a deal in network marketing if you’re in Ariix or on my Be-Different team. If you’ve introduced your prospect to one of our team members, it’s your responsibility to keep in touch with them until they join up.
I recommend talking to them weekly or bi-weekly. Above all, do your best to build credibility – and so your chances at network marketing success – by introducing them to someone who can share their story about how incredible our products are.
Do not send them information from our Ariix website. Above all, they need credibility: talking to actual human beings who’ve had a great experience with Ariix products.
If they want to lose weight, or get rid of wrinkles, I have a list of people who can help you close the deal by getting on the phone with your prospects.
Introduce them to someone else who can corroborate the product’s effectiveness. That’s what gives our team its network marketing success.
